A scallop boat that ran aground early Monday morning on the beach near the Pier Shops at Caesars in Atlantic City was safely removed at high tide. The Jessica Heather was freed just before 6 p.m. Monday by Shamrock Towing and taken to Barney’s Marina in Atlantic City. Coast Guard officials reported no injuries or environmental issues with the grounding as they continue to investigate the incident. The boat’s owners are on the hook for the $10,000 cost of towing the vessel to safety.
