A tropical is brewing far off the Southeastern U.S. coast that could affect that area before the holiday weekend is over. The National Hurricane Center says there’s about a 70 percent chance the storm could develop into subtropical or tropical depression, if it reaches sustained wind speeds of 39 mph. The hurricane season officially begins on June 1st, and only four hurricanes have formed in the month of May since weather records have been kept in 1851.
