FIRST HEROIN OVERDOSE SAVED BY NARCAN IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY

A overdose on heroin was averted in Cumberland County. Vineland Police successfully provided a dose of narcan to a subject on Monday. The Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office had provided the drug on Oct. 1 after police successfully completed a training course. Narcan often can reverse the effects of a drug overdose like heroin. Within minutes the subject was breathing again and taken to an area hospital for treatment.
