FIRED TOP OFFICIAL PLEADS THE FIFTH THROUGHOUT

An Assembly hearing over the Bridgegate controversy involved former Port Authority official David Wildstein pleading the fifth. Wildstein provided over 900 pages of documents but didn’t want to testify before the committee to avoid criminal prosecution. The committee voted to hold Wildstein in contempt, which is a misdemeanor offense.
