FIRE WEATHER WATCH IN EFFECT FOR 16 NEW JERSEY COUNTIES

Use caution today when disposing of those cigarette butts. The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued issued a fire weather watch from 10am to 7pm Wednesday for South Jersey, including Cape May, Cumberland, and Atlantic Counties. The advisory says dry conditions across the region, combined with low humidity, creates the potential for dangerous fires to develop and flames could be spread rapidly by strong winds that could gust up to 25 mph.
