A fire struck the Offshore Motel on Route 47 in Rio Grande at about 8:40 p.m. Wednesday night. Two rooms were damaged and Middle Township officials confirm that the Motel has been evacuated. Firefighters from Rio Grande, Green Creek, Erma and Cape May Court House responded to the fire call. No further details have been released about the cause of the fire or any reported injuries.
