Fire struck the Ocean City Boardwalk on Saturday night. Fire crews responded to the 7th Street Surf Shop Saturday evening when a fire that produced thick gray smoke struck the store. The 600 block of the boardwalk was evacuated during the fire call as a precaution. The fire started around 8pm Saturday and was under control about an hour later. Other nearby fire departments served as backup to Ocean City during the fire; the cause of the fire has not been revealed.
