A Jersey Shore town that was hit hard by Sandy is dealing with a fire near its famous boardwalk Thursday. A fire ripped through a Kohr’s ice cream shop near the boardwalk in Seaside Park and quickly spread to at least two other businesses. Seaside Park officials say windy weather in advance of thunderstorms caused the fire to jump to other buildings. Some firemen and residents were treated for smoke inhalation at the fire scene. You may remember Seaside Park is the home of the infamous Casino Pier roller coaster that fell into the ocean during Hurricane Sandy.
