FINDINGS RELEASED BY SANDY TASK FORCE

On Monday President Obama’s Hurricane Sandy Rebuilding Task Force released it’s findings. The report listed 69 recommendations for storm preparation, from improvements in electrical grids to advance spending by homeowners for protection against future storm damage. Communities should have access to the most current flood-risk information and low income residents should be able to afford flood insurance. The task force also said guidelines for infrastructure should be able to withstand the storms of the future, considering the changing climate conditions.
