New traffic patterns are expected to be in place Thursday as the new southbound lanes of the Garden State Parkway will be open in Middle Township. Officials with the New Jersey Highway Authority say the southbound traffic lanes are finished and will be used by motorists on Thursday. Work on the northbound lanes gets underway soon and the entire project that will result in new interchanges and the elimination of three traffic lights on the Parkway in the Township wraps up next November.
