An extraordinarily tight election in Atlantic County is finally over. Republican Assemblyman John Amodeo has conceded defeat to democrat Vince Mazzeo for one of the two Assembly seats up for grabs during last month’s election. More than 50,000 votes were cast and Amodeo lost by only 39 votes. Mazzeo will join republican Chris Brown in the Assembly.
