FINALLY! NJ ASSEMBLY COMMITTEE APPROVES AC RESCUE BILL

It was months in the making, but finally some movement in Trenton on a rescue bill for Atlantic City.  The Assembly Judiciary Committee approved a measure that would outline a process for Atlantic City to avoid a state over later this year.  The bill gives leadership in Atlantic City 150 days to develop a plan to balance next year’s budget.  It’s possible the measure could said to the desk of Governor Christie before Memorial Day weekend.
