Senate President Steve Sweeney
A number of veto-override votes have been scheduled by Democrats in Trenton after Gov. Chris Christie vetoed a number of jobs creation bills. Christie said that the bills did not have any funding source attached to them or additional cuts from existing programs to pay for them. Votes will take place in both houses of the legislature on Thursday. Democrats have hailed the package of bills as a way to get more people back to work in the state. Previous veto-override votes by Democrats have fallen short because they would need some Republican support.
