FEMA MONEY TO REMOVE DEBRIS COMES TO STATE

Debris removal grants are coming to New Jersey from Hurricane Sandy. U.S. Senators Robert Menendez (D-NJ) and Jeffrey Chiesa (R-NJ) announced $5,090,504.21 million in federal Sandy relief for the N.J. Department of Transportation. Public Assistance grants are awarded by FEMA on a rolling basis after receiving applications from the state, which coordinates the process with local governments.
