FEMA is continuning to accept applications and hand out money for residents in New Jersey and locally in South Jersey. Statewide, there has been 47,581 applications with 178 of those in Cape May County. Assistance could include grants to help pay for temporary housing needs, essential home repairs and other disaster-related expenses. Low-interest loans from the U.S. Small Business Administration also may be available to cover residential and business losses not fully compensated by insurance. A center has been set up at the Cape May County library branch in Cape May Court House to accept applications.
