FEDS PULL BACK DUNE PROJECT FOR MARGATE AND LONGPORT

A big federal dune project in Margate and Longport will not happen, at least not for now.  The United States Army Corps of Engineers announced that it’s pulling solicitations for bids for the dune project in both communities thanks to legal challenges presented by Margate.  Some in that community do not want a federal dune system because it would block some residents’ view of the ocean.
