A version of a federal transportation bill would eliminate $50 million annually for New Jersey Transit. The U.S. House of Representatives passed the measure that would nix the funding as apart of its funding for transportation projects. The U.S. Senate version of the bill did have the money in there. The two sides will conference on the versions of the bill to make a final determination whether that element and others that aren’t agreed on will stay in or be left out of the measure.
