A 5-year-old suffered serious injuries from an accident where his father ran over him in a truck. The incident took place Tuesday around 11:14 am on Fernwood Ave. in the area of Oakland Ave. A 2015 Dodge Ram Pickup operated by Thomas Kinzer, 35 years of age from Egg Harbor Township, was pulling a trailer from the rear of the property while his son was in the front yard operating a small motorized toy tractor. The child wound up driving the tractor into the path of the father’s vehicle. The father did not see the child and ran him over which caused serious injury. The child (5 years of age from Egg Harbor Township), was treated at the scene by the Egg Harbor Township Ambulance Squad and AtlantiCare paramedics. The child was transported to Cooper Regional Trauma Center by helicopter.
