A fatal traffic accident on the Garden State Parkway snarled traffic on Thursday evening in central New Jersey. State Police confirm that one person was killed and several others injured when two cars collided on the southbound Parkway lanes near Middletown Thursday night. A guard rail reportedly went through the windshield of one of the vehicles in the accident. All southbound lanes on the Parkway were closed last night near milepost 111 as a result of the accident.
