FATAL ACCIDENT CLAIMS A LIFE IN GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP

An early Tuesday morning accident killed one in Galloway Township. A 2002 Ford pick-up driven by Calvin Gadd 3rd, of Greenbank NJ was traveling west on Clarks Landing Rd. The truck collided with the rear of a 1998 Chevy sedan driven by KD Cyr of Egg Harbor City, NJ as it traveled west. The Chevy was forced off of the roadway striking a tree before coming to rest. Gadd suffered minor injuries and was treated at ARMC – Mainland Division. Cyr suffered fatal injuries and had to be extricated from her vehicle by Pomona Fire Department. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Clarks Landing Road was closed for approximately 4 hours while the scene was investigated and cleared. No charges have been filed at this time. The collision remains under investigation.
