A South Jersey family is in trouble with the law this week after they were caught stealing electricity from a nearby church. The Daily Journal of Vineland reports that police discovered a house on North Eighth Street was stealing power from the nearby Trinity Episcopal Church. Police found an orange electrical cord plugged into a church receptacle when they investigated the complaint on Sunday night. Church officials have so far declined to press formal charges against the family; a police report has been drafted up in the event the church wants to file a formal complaint.
