Some heavy rain in the forecast for Saturday has cancelled a few events at the shore. Avalon has cancelled its annual clamshell pitching contest on the beach, while the Wildwood Arts Foundation has rescheduled its Art & Beer event at Byrne Plaza; that event will now take place on August 4th.
