A 37-year-old woman died Sunday evening after the car in which she was riding with her family crashed into a utility pole in Egg Harbor Township. Marie Roe of EHT was a passenger in the front seat of a 1999 Ford Taurus when the driver lost control of the car and it spun off the roadway striking the pole near Route 50 and Laurel Street. Roe’s husband Andrew, 44, was driving the car with their daughter in the rear seat. Police said that the mother was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. Roe’s husband and daughter were taken to a local hospital.
