EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP WILL MOVE SCHOOL BOARD ELECTIONS

At least one local school board has taken advantage of a new law allowing school board elections to move to November. Egg Harbor Township’s school board made that vote on Tuesday. A new state law allows school elections to move to the general election date to save money and get higher turnout. Typically school elections have low turnout. Also, the new law eliminates the need to vote on a school budget that does not exceed the two percent cap.
