A cigarette thief is on the loose and police are looking for your help. The Egg Harbor Township Police say that a male suspect has taken a number of cartons over the course of a couple of weeks in Oct. The suspect has since been identified, with the assistance of Pleasantville Police Detectives, as 23 year old Pleasantville resident Bryan A. Rankin. A no bail warrant has been issued by Judge Switzer for the arrest of Rankin. Rankin also has an outstanding warrant for his arrest, on a similar but unrelated charge, in Pleasantville. Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Bryan Rankin is asked to contact Detective Theriault at 609.926.4126 or “Atlantic County Crime Stoppers” at 652-1234.
