Two were arrested over the weekend for a burglary, but luck turned worse when the man was found in possession of heroin. Amanda J. Kelly, 23 years of age from Egg Harbor Township, and Michael V. Piperato, 22 years of age from Galloway, were arrested and charged with numerous crimes including: burglary, theft, and receiving stolen property. Piperato was additionally charged with being in possession of heroin, marijuana, and a hypodermic needle.
Both Kelly and Piperato have been additionally charged with the theft of various items from a storage unit in Egg Harbor Township, and for being in possession of stolen property in Pleasantville. Kelly was lodged in the Atlantic County Jail in lieu of $50,000.00 cash bail, Piperato was lodged in lieu of $25,000.00 cash bail.
