An indictment has been handed down in a 2010 murder. Jerome Byrd, 29, was indicted for murder and weapons offenses in connection with the fatal shooting of Scott Godfrey, 21. The Egg Harbor Township man remains lodged at the Atlantic County Justice Facility in lieu of $1 million cash bail. He was arrested in July following a three year investigation.
