A man who was drunk ran his boat aground on a jetty in Spring Lake over the weekend, and one of his passengers suffered a severe head injury in the accident. State Police say the boat operated by 52 year old Thomas McGinley of Toms River ran aground in Spring Lake Friday night and rescuers had to brave dangerous conditions in order to make the rescue. One passenger was removed from the boat and taken immediately for medical attention.
