On Tuesday, Lower Township Police followed a suspected narcotics dealer, who drove away on his motorcycle after receiving a package from a vehicle under surveillance. After a brief chase, police arrested 51 year-old Joseph Shoestock of the Villas, who discarded a small bag in the 600 block of Jonathan Hoffman Road during the pursuit. Police recovered the bag and found it to contain 317 bags of suspected heroin and one small bag of suspected narcotic pills. Shoestock was charged with heroin distribution and placed in the Cape May County Jail on $150,000 full cash bail.
