DRIVER HITS UTILITY POLE IN LOWER TWP, VEHICLE ENDS UP IN MARSH

A North Jersey man drove his vehicle into a utility pole on Ocean Drive in Lower Township, and his vehicle wound up in a marsh.  Lower Township Police announced that the single-vehicle occurred on Friday morning when Anthony Polifronio of Secaucus drove his vehicle into the pole, causing it to fall in the roadway.  He was not seriously injured in the accident, which remains under investigation.
