The state navigation channels in the Barnegat Bay that had been loaded with silt and sediment are again safe for navigation. The New Jersey Department of Transportation announced that the channels have been safely dredged and will be open before Memorial Day weekend. Many of those channels were filled with sediment during Hurricane Sandy.
