The executive director of the Delaware River and Bay Authority is stepping down. James T. Johnson, Jr. announced his intention to retire from the bi-state agency. A resident of Lewes, Delaware, Mr. Johnson served in this leadership role at the DRBA for ten years. In a related move, the DRBA Commission approved Resolution 12 – 05, to appoint Scott A. Green, Esq. of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware to be the agency’s next Executive Director upon the retirement of Mr. Johnson.
A licensed professional engineer, Mr. Johnson plans to pursue other opportunities. “The DRBA is a great organization and it’s been an honor and a privilege to work with so many talented, dedicated and hardworking individuals over the last ten years” Johnson said. “I am particularly appreciative of the support the many Commissioners and Governors from both States have provided, as we embarked on the changes that have led this Agency to become to a more transparent, open and efficient institution.”
