Even though he did not have the support of his township’s republican party, Glenn Douglass has secured the republican nomination for a 3rd Ward council seat in Lower Township. Douglass defeated Brian McEwing by a preliminary vote count of 510-454. Douglass is expected to face no competition for a council seat in November. McEwing was backed by the Lower Township Republican party.
