One of the candidates who said they were running for freeholder in Cape May County has dropped out. Lower Township Councilman Glenn Douglass has decided to remove his name from contention. Douglass tells Coastal Broadcasting that he is going on a cruise to celebrate his wedding anniversary during the convention date for the county’s Republican party, and felt he would be at too much of a disadvantage. This leaves four candidates for Freeholder, former Lower Township Councilman Arthur “Stig” Blomkvest, Upper Township Councilwoman Kristine Gabor, William Morey, and Jay Young.
