DON’T SHOVEL? GET A FINE FROM ONE NJ TOWN

If you don’t shovel your sidewalk in one New Jersey town, you could get a $100 fine.  The Toms River Township Council passed an ordinance that requires all homeowners to shovel their sidewalks after a snowstorm or get a fine.  The measure is intended to make walking on sidewalks easier for children who walk to school.  The Asbury Park Press reports that total fines cannot exceed $1,000.
