DONE DEAL: AVALON SECURES PERMITS TO KEEP ROAD TO CDF

A complex, multi-year effort to maintain a road to Avalon’s confined disposal facility for dredge materials is over.  Borough officials secured the necessary State and Federal permits to keep the road in place.  Avalon saved millions of dollars on its last dredging project by forming partnerships with other agencies for a comprehensive dredging project that began in 2014.  The road will be used to offload dredge material to create room for new material, when needed.
