DOLPHIN DIES AFTER WANDERING INTO A RIVER

A dolphin that made its way into a river in northern New Jersey died over the weekend.  The Marine Mammal Stranding Center reports that the dolphin first spotted last Wednesday in the South River in Old Bridge died despite efforts to coax the dolphin to swim towards the Raritan Bay.  The dolphin was older and emaciated, according to the Center.
