DOLPHIN CARCASS FOUND ON LONGPORT BEACH

The carcass of a bottle nosed dolphin washed ashore and was found Wednesday on the beach in Longport. According to the Marine Mammal Stranding Center, the 8-foot-long dolphin appeared to be attacked by sharks, but was most likely dead before the attack. Officials will dispose of the dolphin, as there were too few remains to perform a necropsy.
