DOLLARS ALLOCATED TO OCEAN CITY, ATLANTIC CITY IN POST-SANDY RECOVERY

The Christie Administration announced the award of more than $1.8 million in Post-Sandy Planning Assistance Grants to 31 local governments affected by the storm. Ocean City is the only community in Cape May County to receive funding, and they got $26,500. Atlantic City got the biggest award in the area for $345,000. The first round of grants is in response to applications from municipalities and counties that lost significant tax revenue due to Sandy and demonstrated how planning assistance will lead to greater community resilience.
