Another set of toll hikes are scheduled to be put into place next year on two of New Jersey’s major roads. The Garden State Parkway and New Jersey Turnpike are scheduled to see toll increases. Democrats in the legislature want some of the toll hikes rolled back since the ARC Tunnel project was cancelled. The non-partisan Office of Legislative Services says that it can be done since the money is not tied to any bonds. Gov. Chris Christie’s administration says otherwise and have put the blame on former Gov. Jon Corzine and the Democrats in power who pushed the hike through initially.
