A developer has submitted a proposal to Dennis Township for a large offshore resort to be built at a cost of 65 million dollars. Blackstone Realty CEO John Connors Sr. submitted plans for “Clermont Lodge”, a 120-unit resort to be constructed on 30 acres of undeveloped land near the intersection of routes 9 and 83. Plans would include a main lodge with 56 guest rooms in a three-story structure, 40 bungalows with one-and-two bedroom options, and 24 cabins, plus a tavern, event spaces, walking trails and other features. The resort is described in zoning proposals as a “woodland escape” . Construction wouldn’t start until at least 2024 with an opening goal two years later.
