Sea Isle City looks like they will have no tax increase this year. Mayor Len Desiderio presented his state-of-the-city address. Desiderio told Coastal Broadcasting that the city is in good shape and is making improvements, without hurting the city taxpayers. The budget includes “increased debt service to support our capital program, additional entertainment and activities at our Excursion Park…demolition of tow blighted buildings that have been eyesores for too long in bayfront neighborhoods,” according to Desiderio’s speech. The mayor credited a hiring freeze and renegotiation of contracts with unions, with keeping taxes down.
