DEREGULATION BILL PULLED FROM SENATE VOTING

The state senate did not vote on a bill that would allow for deregulation in the telecommunications industry. The bill already passed the Assembly, but opponents rallied and got the legislation pulled from the Senate’s agenda. Verizon’s head official promised a two-year no increase to service fees. The AARP has said they believe service could diminish and prices would go up.
