DENNIS TWP MAYOR: NO REC LAYOFFS LOOMING

Dennis Township Mayor Gene Glembocki issued a press release that attempts to eliminate rumors about layoffs coming to the township’s recreation department.  Glembocki says there “is no plan to layoff members of the Recreation Department staff”.  Glembocki also says in his release that there are no plays to cut any recreation programs.  He says he took over as mayor with the township in “horrible financial shape” and every department has been asked to do more with less.  Glembocki calls the layoff rumors “politically motivated”.
