Democrats in Trenton are ready to go toe to toe with Governor Chris Christie over the state’s botched attempt to get $400 million in education funding. Democrats are going to cast a vote on Monday that may allow the Legislative Oversight Committee the subpoena power that could force the Christie administration to produce documents and force top aids to testify. This panel will meet after the Senate session on Monday afternoon in order to hold a hearing that could take place on Thursday. Former Education Commissioner Bret Schundler, who was fired by Christie, says he will testify if ordered to do so.
