DEMS IN TRENTON APPROVE NEW BUDGET PROPOSAL, NO MILLIONAIRES’ TAX

Democratic lawmakers in Trenton advanced their own budget proposal late Monday that produced a $38.7 billion state budget, but no millionaires’ tax that the Governor wants.  Republicans in a key committee abstained from the vote saying they had little time to actually read the budget.  They did commend the move to remove many of the tax increases Governor Murphy wanted from their budget.
