If the legislative elections were held today in our First District, it would be a democratic sweep. That’s according to new polling data released by Richard Stockton College that shows the three democratic candidates for the state legislature hold leads over their republican opponents. The poll has incumbent Senator Jeff Van Drew with 60 percent of the vote compared to republican Susan Adelizzi-Schmidt with 28 percent. However, Van Drew’s running mates hold only narrow leads over their opponents.
