A budget proposal could be rolled out by Democrat leaders on Monday that would see a call to spend $1.8 billion more on pensions than Gov. Chris Christie proposed during his budget address months ago. Dems are expected to bridge the gap with a proposal for the Millionaire’s Tax and increased taxes on businesses. Christie has the ability like he has in the past to red line out those aspects of the budget and sign the document with a smaller pension payment. Christie proposed to pay $1.3 billion to the pension system and unions are calling for $3.1 billion.
