All of the Democratic leaders in the state found one issue they could all work together on…fighting foreclosure in the state. State Senator Barbara Buono, Newark Mayor Cory Booker, Congressman Rush Holt, Congressman Frank Pallone, and Assembly Speaker Sheila Oliver were among those in attendance. New Jersey has the second most foreclosures with 88,000 in the state since 2008. They also noted that the state has gotten $300 million in federal aid to assist with the issue, but it hasn’t been spent. They urged for the Christie administration to do more to fight this problem.
