As expected, the Cape May County Democratic Party has secured a second candidate to run for freeholder this November. Lower Township attorney Patrick Morley has been selected to run with Bob Jackson for two seats up for grabs on the freeholder board. The two democrats will square off against republicans Gerald Thornton and newcomer Susan Sheppard. Thornton and Sheppard won a heated republican primary battle back in June that changed the face of the county republican party. Morley is 58 years old and lives in North Cape May.
